They aren’t your typical plush characters. They come with pretty personal quirks, goals, and emotional breakdowns of their own. Trororo, the cat mascot with an awkward obsession, or To-Fu, the always-crying tofu block, have a job for you as you mentor them, keep them on task, and prevent full-on meltdown.
Assigning jobs to mascots is really hard. One second, they are actively promoting the snack vegetable through cheer with someone completely couched in the next frame as they get stuck in a doorway or accidentally start fires. Fortunately, Kaso-Machi has characters, each of whom is pretty strange and ready to lend a hand- if you’d befriended him. Collect Hero Cards, featuring oddball locals like Captain Sign (Japan’s only traffic-sign superhero) and Momma-Sah, the latex-obsessed bar owner, who can swoop in and help when your mascots go haywire.
