I’ve been playing Dread Dawn, and honestly, it’s pretty dope if you’re into zombie survival games. It’s this open-world sandbox set in a city that got quarantined because of some unknown virus (classic, right?). You play as a student who missed the evacuation and now you’re stuck in the city, trying to survive. The city’s got everything – hospitals, subways, prisons, schools – and you get to explore all of it while trying not to get eaten alive.
The game does have a lot of story-driven cutscenes, but heads up, the tutorial writing is kinda cringe. It’s like, the story tries to be deep, but I just skipped most of the text. Still, the game pushes you through all these cool set pieces and crazy action scenes, so even though the dialogue’s a bit meh, the gameplay makes up for it.
You’re holed up in a school with other survivors, trying to defend your camp. Zombies love to attack when you’re not paying attention, so you gotta build up your defenses using stuff you find around the city. You can also grow food or raise chickens (yup, chickens!) to keep yourself fed, and trade whatever extra supplies you have with other survivors. It’s actually kinda cool having to manage your camp while also staying alive.
My First Impressions Okay, so right off the bat, this game throws you into the middle of chaos. I love how you’re with a bunch of other survivors – like, even a group of 30 people can get wiped out in no time if you’re not careful. It’s intense! Most zombie games just have you by yourself, so this was a nice change. There’s a lot going on, like, tons of action, and you can’t really let your guard down. It’s not perfect, but if you’re into survival stuff, it’s worth checking out.

- Tactical Combat: Fighting in Dread Dawn isn’t just about button-mashing. You’ve gotta be smart, use traps, time your skills, and figure out enemy weaknesses.
- Multiplayer: You can team up with friends or random players online to take on huge bosses or explore tough dungeons. It’s all about teamwork!

Is the story any good?
Honestly, the writing in the beginning is kinda cringey, especially the tutorial part. But the gameplay is really fun, so if you can ignore the dialogue, you’ll have a good time.
How’s the multiplayer?
It’s cool! You can join up with friends or other players to take down big bosses or do some tough dungeons. It’s all about working together.
Can you play solo or do you need a group?
You can play solo, but it’s nice having a group around. The game lets you team up with other survivors, so it feels different from other zombie games where you’re usually alone.
How’s the survival part of the game?
It’s solid! You can grow food, raise chickens, and trade stuff with other survivors. Plus, you gotta build up your camp’s defenses or zombies will break in when you least expect it.
