GRAVEN is an action-adventure game with a first-person perspective. The production was conceived as a spiritual successor to Hexen II. The title was developed by the Slipgate Ironworks studio, known among others. with Kingpin: Reloaded and Rad Rodgers.
The action takes place in a dark fantasy land. We play the role of a priest condemned to exile and death for taking someone else’s life, even if he did it to defend an innocent person. However, during the execution of the sentence, something unusual happens. Instead of dying, the hero wakes up in a boat sailing through mysterious swamps. The old man in charge handed him a magic staff and a book of spells, and the voice of God echoed in the priest’s head. Ordering him to neutralize the plague ravaging the surrounding lands and eliminate the cultists responsible for it.
GRAVEN Download was conceived as the spiritual heir to Hexen II, but the authors did not limit themselves to reproducing the solutions of this classic. Instead, they also used solutions and technological improvements from later shooters and immersive simulation games.
In free GRAVEN pc we observe events from the hero’s point of view. The player explores levels that have a semi-open structure, offering many alternate paths and hidden secrets. While we play, we fight enemies using melee weapons, complete tasks, collect items, and solve puzzles.
The spell system plays an important role in the game, allowing you to activate a wide selection of various effects. Many spells interact with objects in the environment, allowing us not only to defeat enemies but also to influence locations.
As the game progresses, we also use the gold found during adventures to purchase armor and weapon upgrades. As we explore, we often come across inaccessible places that we can reach later by unlocking new abilities or equipment. Download GRAVEN offers a single-player mode and a cooperative mode for two or four people, both via the Internet and LAN.
The game features attractive three-dimensional graphics designed in a retro style. The authors were inspired by the productions of the second half of the 1990s, which gave rise to: textures with clearly visible pixels. At the same time, the scale of the maps, their details, and their visual effects far exceed what was possible at the end of the 20th century.
