Infinity Ward, the team behind CoD Modern Warfare 2, has revealed the details of one of the new multiplayer maps. Dubbed Farm 18, Shoothouse inspired the map at MW2019.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which is expected to be released on October 28, has announced the open beta and early access dates. In addition, a new map was revealed to be added to the series with the game. The new map will take place at the Marina Bay circuit, where the Formula 1 Singapore GP is held and will be ‘Marina Bay’.
Modern Warfare 2, which has a lot of contributions both in terms of storytelling and mechanics, and has been described as one of the best story-driven FPS games to date, is the first Trailer it was shared in recent months. Today, a video from the new map of the game was shared.

Infinity Ward, the team behind Modern Warfare 2, shared the video of the interview with the makers of the map, where the new map coming to the game was explained. The map, called Farm 18, was inspired by the Shoothouse map in Modern Warfare 2019.
Geoff Smith, the director of multiplayer map design in Modern Warfare 2, stated that the main idea of the map is to ensure that if they create a Shoothouse-type map, players can experience the action both in the center of the map and in other regions, Smith explained that they initially thought that the map would take place in secret training facilities, but then they decided to spend it in a cement factory by changing their minds.
Ashly Thundercliffe, a senior environmental designer at Infinity Ward, explained in an interview about the environmental design that it’s all about trying to find the “perfect fit” that will give players a map that is a “beautiful, realistic space” and at the same time offer a fun space for players to enjoy.
