Every ten years, the Mka tribe sends caravans of brave adventurers into the Phithi—a chaotic meteorological region that isolates the Uwando tribes from each other and renders survival outside of secure refuges all but impossible. Their mission is simple: establish diplomatic and trade relations, scout and recolonize lands devastated by monsters and marauders, and, most importantly, plant the seeds of a new arboreal city to provide refuge for the Mka and their allies. Win or lose, these caravans must relay their gathered information back to the capital through crystospheres left behind in roving beetles.

This survival/RPG is creativity and charm personified. Being in early access, it’s got some rough edges, but I’ve found it really fun and look forward to the next updates. Scaling tweaks are a necessity—bad character RNG can make a run nearly impossible to play. Apart from that, it’s an engaging game; the initial learning barrier is present, but once you break past it, getting into a strategic rhythm is a breeze. The world feels alive, bolstered by excellent music, voice work, and cohesive design.
