Epic Games is giving you two new games you won’t want to miss in April

The next free titles from the Epic Games Store have just been unveiled and it would be a shame to miss them.

This Easter weekend, gamers are in for a treat. While a free trial of Cyberpunk has just started on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series (and will end on March 31 at 9 a.m.), Epic Games is preparing some nice gifts for the week after the festivities. Players who eat too much chocolate in the next three days and regret it when the game resumes will still be able to console themselves with two new games for free. The next rotation of free-to-play titles from the Epic Games Store has just been revealed, and RPG aficionados will have a lot to look forward to. For now, players have until April 4 at 5 p.m. to pick up Islets, an adorable hand-painted Metroidvania. Once this distribution is complete, users of the Epic Store will be able to enjoy the following games until April 11:

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and released on October 25, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, The Outer Worlds has quickly established itself as a must-have for first-person role-playing enthusiasts. This title, often presented as a Fallout in Space with some Borderlands-like elements, offers a satisfying and controlled experience, without being perfect. But since it’s about to be free, it would be a shame to deprive yourself of it. Epic has even the knack of offering the Spacer’s Choice Edition, which includes all the DLC from the base game as well as remastered graphics for current platforms. What more could you ask for?

Thief
This production by Eidos Montréal was far from unanimous. When it was released in 2014, this reboot of the Dark Project franchise was not to everyone’s taste. Widely criticized for its lack of freedom and a half-hearted storyline, the title was above all a victim of fans’ high expectations. Today, Thief has “very positive” recent ratings and a “somewhat positive” overall score on the Steam platform. In hindsight, it would seem that players have learned to appreciate this not-so-failed attempt. If first-person stealth games have you hooked, giving this game a chance ten years after its release won’t cost you a dime. This is the perfect opportunity to make up your mind. Who knows, you might be surprised.
