It couldn’t be wrong. And it worked: the combination of the well-known mechanics of the previous TT Games games and the well-known world of Jurassic Park, which this time was presented using LEGO bricks, turned out to be a success. However, before you read on, I want to point out that if you’re going to play LEGO Jurassic World, I highly recommend doing it in the company of someone else.
The game is clearly focused on single-couch co-op play, and it’s in duo that it’s the most fun. For the sake of completeness, I want to add that, like the other installments in the series, it also includes the ability to cooperate with artificial intelligence and switch between characters. But in this case, the game can become boring after just a few dozen minutes

LEGO Jurassic World was released at the same time as the movie of the same name. This is not surprising, as this is a common marketing strategy. However, in this case, it’s clear that the developers didn’t take the easy way out by releasing a sloppy game just to take advantage of the hype around the movie. The game consists of four rather large chapters, each of which tells the story of one of the films in Steven Spielberg’s cult trilogy. It’s a great opportunity to remember all the parts of Jurassic Park, this time in a different and fun form.
However, LEGO Jurassic World doesn’t do things by halves. The developers didn’t compromise and didn’t take half-measures. The work done is impressive and a testament to the care taken in the game.
One of the highlights of the game is the use of dialogue from the movies in the cutscenes. This allows you to be fully immersed in the world of Jurassic Park. The original soundtrack has also been faithfully reproduced, contributing to the game’s unique atmosphere.
There are also some amusing nods to the movies, such as the presence of E.T. the alien flying in front of the moon in the Lost World: Jurassic Park video.

It is interesting to note, however, that the films in the Jurassic Park series have not always been aimed only at young viewers. Indeed, they featured many scenes of violence.
In LEGO Jurassic World, the developers have done a lot of work to faithfully reproduce the images of the movies, while omitting the bloodiest moments. They chose to parody or ridicule them. For example, in the movie, when a dinosaur pulls a man into a cage by the leg, in the game, it fights him over a sausage. Generally speaking, the developers have added as many fun scenes as possible.
Friendly and endless fun in the world of dinosaurs
In addition to the four chapters mentioned above, LEGO Jurassic World also features a free-play mode. If you just want to reach the end credits of each movie, you can complete the entire game in just over ten hours. However, if you want to complete it 100%, it will probably take you much longer.
LEGO Jurassic World is clearly aimed not only at fans of co-op video games, but also at less experienced players, or even those who have never played before. There is no question of failure: the game is very accessible and allows you to make endless mistakes.
For example, during the Quick Time Event sequences (which I hate) in boss fights in story mode, if you don’t press the appropriate button, there won’t be any serious consequences. You will only lose a portion of the collected coins, which you can easily recover. You can repeat as many times as you need until you succeed. Similarly, if you lose a fight against a dinosaur, you will immediately be reborn in the same place. The ancient reptile, seeing your helplessness, may even stop attacking you!
It’s important to point out that the vast majority of gameplay in LEGO Jurassic World relies on puzzle-solving. The key to success lies in the judicious use of the character’s unique abilities, of which there are many.
Some of the most interesting skills include the girl’s scream, which smashes windows and destroys objects, and the ability to fire a gun, or… to dig in the excrement! The latter skill is reserved for a specific character, as the others are disgusted at the idea of rummaging through animal droppings.
To conclude the review
As I mentioned at the beginning, LEGO Jurassic World is an ideal proposition for fans of Jurassic Park and Danish bricks. It is also a game that can be recommended with a clear conscience to cooperative video game enthusiasts who would like to spend pleasant moments in the virtual world alongside their children.
However, it is not a production that revolutionizes the genre or brings a significant breath of fresh air. What it offers is nevertheless enough to guarantee several hours of fun and entertainment.
